Caio Lopes de Melo

Caio Lopes de Melo is a Senior Account Executive at Green Project, an ACT Group company helping enterprises and their suppliers measure, manage, and reduce emissions across their value chains. He works with enterprise customers across Europe on carbon accounting, supplier decarbonization, and renewable energy certificate procurement.

Caio began his career in life cycle assessment, joining Broadview Holding in the Netherlands as a sustainability and LCA expert focused on product footprints and decarbonization planning. He later built experience across commodities and sustainability services. Along the way, he saw that many organizations were not short of emissions data; they struggled to turn it into reductions, especially in Scope 3, where most of the impact sits with suppliers. That gap is what drew him to ACT Group and Green Project, and to the goal of driving decarbonization at scale where companies need it most.

At Green Project, Caio leads complex enterprise deals across the full platform suite, bringing together carbon accounting, supplier engagement, decarbonization planning, and EAC procurement. His customers span semiconductors, chemicals, private equity, and financial services, and he works closely with procurement and sustainability teams to design supplier programs that deliver measurable reductions rather than more reporting.

Caio is a graduate of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, where his thesis examined multinationals, distance, and the Sustainable Development Goals. Originally from Brazil and based in Amsterdam, he works at the intersection of sustainability, procurement, and energy markets to help companies turn climate commitments into real decarbonization.
