Top Takeaways

The message across sessions at Scope 3 Strategy Days 2026 was clear: the market is moving from disclosure to action. This year's conversations centered on how supply chains decarbonize at scale. Not just targets and reporting, but tools, incentives, and necessary partnerships to achieve progress.

Here are our top 4 takeaways:

1. Supplier decarbonization is driving innovation. Leading organizations are moving beyond tick-box engagement toward programs that enable suppliers to experiment, invest, and innovate.

2. Service Carbon Footprints (SCFs) are gaining momentum alongside PCFs. As Scope 3 efforts expand deeper into supply chains, there’s growing recognition that credible, scalable SCFs are essential.

3. Clear, consistent asks matter, especially for SMEs. Supplier engagement works best when expectations are simple, aligned, and actionable. This is critical for bringing lower-maturity suppliers along for the journey.

4. Partnerships are no longer optional. Buyers are explicitly calling for stronger collaboration between solution providers to lower barriers and reduce friction for suppliers and procurement teams alike.
